This zesty sauce has the brightness of lime while still leaving a pleasurable tingle. When warm weather comes, this will be our go-to hot sauce for micheladas.

It has a nice kick to it when I taste-tested it, but it wasn’t overbearing. It had a nice heat and burned my tongue just a little bit, but it was very good. I would highly recommend this sauce on any Mexican food or on wings. You can’t go wrong with this one.

Lime

It had a very citrus taste to it when I tried it. It was hot, but not overwhelming and it didn’t control the taste of the meal. It has a nice citrus and tangy taste that I wouldn’t mind having on salmon or scallops. One thing i am certain of… If you like hot sauce and you like lime, you WILL like this.

(It) fit the bill of a great hot sauce with a BBQ flavor. I tried it with chicken nuggets … as a dip rather than pouring it on top, and it was delicious. I would highly recommend it though, and possibly even as a supplement to either ranch or ketchup with a burger, fries or onion rings.

It was a little spicier than I anticipated and the “kick” kicked in after a few seconds and lingered throughout. Very impressive though. We tried this with a pizza of cheese pizza, chicken stir-fry, and also a burger. I wouldn’t necessarily use it as a dipping sauce, but I would suggest putting the sauce right on the sandwich or pizza, or anything for that matter.

This is but the first post in a series of reviews of Rocky’s lineup. Rocky’s claims that it is “The best-tasting hot sauce… period,” which is a pretty bold claim to make. So far, however, I’m quite pleased with the Original sauce (considering that I admittedly wrote it off as just another standard hot sauce initially).

You may have noticed that each morning review has featured a product from Rocky’s Hot Sauce, a new company out of Pennsylvania. And if you’ve been truly observant, you may have noticed that I have thoroughly enjoyed every single one of their sauces so far. As both a reviewer and a consumer, it’s really cool to find an entire line of delicious quality products.

Take every nice thing that I said about the Original flavor and make it even better. The heat on this one puts in neatly in the Mean territory, though it is a little bit hotter than the Original, thanks to the extra emphasis on peppers.

With so many pretenders to the throne of “The Best Tasting Hot Sauce” on the market, it was genuinely refreshing to try something like Rocky’s that both hits hard and packs a delicious flavor, making its claim to the title more plausible than most.
